The Life of My Mom in Arizona
When my mom came to Arizona, her life changed. She came with my sister and me, I was 9 month old. My mom rented an apartment and got a job in Burger King. When she came, it was June 24, 2001. My mom met my dad that took care of me and my sister. In 2003, she had my little brother. My dad bought a house that we now live in. My mom special day was when I got baptized and I was one year old and my little brother too. All the party and birthday were special days. My mom changed her life when we went to school because she started as a volunteer. She felt good to help in the cafeteria at school. The teachers like her and everyone in my family are happy.
My Great Grandpa’s story
Both of my grandparents from both sides of my parents didn’t have enough money to go to college, plus back then college wasn’t that important. But my dad told me a story about my great grandpa!!!
So, here it goes… Roberto, he was born in Monerey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. My great grandpa didn’t have a wealthy family or a poor one. Even though my great, great grandpa was the governor but his father and mother did not go to college. He was the first one in his family. When he was a boy, he loved school, so he wanted to become a teacher. He wanted to help people learn and go to college.
College was very expensive back then. He worked hard and graduated. As I told you my great grandpa wanted to help people, he opened a school in called, “Escuelu Industrial Pablo Livas” it is in Spanish. He owned it with his dad. He started of small and it still stands today but own by someone else. That school is now even big as CGCC, almost I think. It is close to a street called Anastacio Trevino, which is my great, great grandfather. Eventually he got married to Maria and had kids. One was named Camila which is my name!!! I also got a cousin named Camila too.
Mrs. B’s turning point
Mrs. B. wanted to be a nurse but she didn’t like the idea because you have to take care of bloody situations. She feels really uncomfortable with the job. When she was in the fifth grade, she had a turning point. She now wanted to be a classroom teacher, later on in her life, when she got older, she became what she wanted to be which is a class room teacher. She got another turning point, she now wanted to be reading specialist. She became a reading specialist, she is now live her life happy.
